I had worse.
But yeah, they're just being mean and evil. not really my crowd. Though I like how guilt hits them right in the face. And the Big Wolf reference. Big boy on campus, what else can it be?

I doubt it was a BWOC reference. There's other media out there that was more popular that's used the phrase- it's not exactly new. Have we all forgotten the movie Dead Man On Campus? There's also several versions of Big Man On Campus, Little Man On Campus, Hot Nights on the Campus, Married Women On The Campus...you get the point.

the show's title finally makes sense to me now!
'Big wolf' was obvious, Tommy's pretty tall. But 'on Campus' never made sense to me: they weren't on a Campus until the last episode. Now I can see its a reference on its own.

"Big Man on Campus" is an extremely common and widespread term. The show's name is actually a reference to the popular expression.

But what does it mean? I'm not a native English speaker, I don't know(a lot) this kind of stuff.

I`ve never heard the expression `big boy on campus` but big man on campus is actually a used term. It refers to a well respected student whom other look up to.

Don't you love it how my Longman dictionary of contemporary English for advanced learners, which cost, say, 75 USD tells me an university or college can have a campus and doesn't bother to mention a high school can have one as well?

Well, I don't. 229,999 correct entries left are not.

In all fairness a college campus and a high school one are vastly different.

This link, and many others, mention "school" separate from college and university. So it refers to any school, since some school may have one. For instance, There are summer school that are sort've like camps where you go and sleep in cabins. Also, plenty of boarding schools do the same.

in other words, campus can refer to the terrains and its buildings which belong to a school in general (i.e. an institution for education), and universities and colleges in particular.
